Busy week for both earnings and macroeconomic events. First and foremost, the FOMC press release will be at 2 pm EDT on Wednesday. The language of the press release will be key, as a $10 billion taper of QE (down to $25 billion per month) is likely baked in the cake.
As far as economic data, the payrolls report is the most closely watched, and will be released on Friday. The preliminary second quarter GDP report is released on Wednesday morning (expectations are for 3.0% growth). The ADP employment report and personal consumption for the second quarter are also released on Wednesday morning. The ISM Manufacturing report, personal income release, and personal spending release are all on Friday morning.
Outside of the U.S., the European PMI Manufacturing reports for most countries will be released on Friday. Chinese Manufacturing PMI is released on Wednesday. Japanese monthly retail sales data is released tonight, and industrial production in tomorrow night.
