Too Many Options: $FB $P $YHOO $ABX $XOM $URBN $VIX

Here are some of the large options trades that caught our attention today:

1. FB – A trader closed a ratio call spread in January, sold 26K Jan 45calls at 5.60 to buy 40K Jan 50 calls for 2.40.

2. P – A customer bought 10000 Dec 25 puts trades or 15c to open. The put is now 15% out-of-the-money and expires in less than two weeks. Pandora is presenting at several conferences this week.

3. YHOO –  A trader bought 17,200 Jan 35 puts for 27c to sell 13,640 Jan 44 calls at 25c opening. Separately, a customer sold 11,000 Apr 37 – 44 call spreads on Yahoo at $2.93, 11000 times, Another trader sold 11,000 Jan 37 calls at $2.91 to close.

4. ABX-  ABX saw bullish action with Gold up 2%. A trader bought the Jan15 20/25 call spread when the stock was just below $17, paying .95 for 10k to open

5. XOM – A trader bought 9600 July 105 calls for 1.00.

6. URBN – Total call volume of 9200 contracts was three times the average. A trader paid 45c for 1500 Dec 37 calls, and later a buyer paid 1.25 for nearly 1500 Dec 35 calls, both were opening.

7. VIX – A trader looking for much higher volatility in the New Year bought 15000 VIX April 22 calls for 1.23.
