Old Tech dominated volume again, though more diverse set of names had significant options volume today.

  1. PCS – Deutsche Telekom indicated that it was going to sweeten terms during the day (and did indeed submit a better offer after the close, and the stock is trading around $11.80).  Apr 12 calls and May 12 calls both traded over 50k in the afternoon.
  2. MSFT – Apr 30 puts traded over 85k, driven by one large afternoon buyer at $0.51.  Interestingly, stock is trading down 2% after-hours after a weak PC sales report.
  3. INTC – Similar flow in INTC.  The Apr 22 puts traded over 35k.  INTC is also trading down after-hours on the PC report, about 1.5%.
  4. AAPL – Call to put ratio up to 1.6 as the stock bounced 2%.  The weekly 430, 435, and 440 calls all traded over 25k on the day.
  5. AMTD – Buyer of 30k of the Jan14 26.5 calls for about 0.275, a bullish bet that AMTD can make a new 10 year high (the stock was last above 26 in 2006).
  6. MBI – Buyer of 20k of the Aug 13/16 call spread for $0.635.  The stock hit a high of 13.70 in March.
  7. FXI – Buyer of about 40k of the Apr 37.5 calls for around 0.13 and 0.14 in the morning.  FXI is down about 10% in 2013.
  8. EFA – Big spread trade, all traded on the bid:  25010 apr 57 puts, 20275 may 55 puts, 20275 may 58 puts, 14750 apr 58 puts
  9. BAC – Seller of 20k of the Jan15 12 calls at 2.23 in the morning.
  10. PFE – Buyer of about 20k of the Apr 30 calls, mostly in the morning for 0.18.
